Hi, I am Sherlock, and I am a special dog. What makes me special? I have already graduated from school! I went to a special program in a Prison where I was trained and could be ready to take the Good Canine Citizen Certification if you wanted to. This means I have very good manners! I know many commands: Sit, Stay, Down, Come, and I really want to make you happy so I do a good job every time. I am very good with kids, but they need to be 5+ years because even though I am trained, I still get a little excited sometimes and knock smaller ones down. I also get very upset when kids cry, and will try to comfort them by standing on them, which they don’t like. I just don’t know what to do and I want to help! Bigger kids will have lots of fun with me though because I have lots of Lab energy. I would be a great dog for further obedience or service training, or one for an active family who wants to take me everywhere. I love most humans and am gentle with the kitties. I get along with dogs too! I wouldn’t mind my family having a nice girl dog my size to play with, I like girls the best but probably would like a boy to play with too. I just have to meet him to decide. I am house trained, and put myself to bed in my crate without being asked at night. I do not bark at things, and I do not chase cars. I can be strong on the leash at first but if you correct me I remember to walk nicely. I really just want to make you happy. I promise if you adopt me that I will be a very loyal dog, and will do my best to take care of my family. So if you would like to meet me my friends at Arrow would like you to fill out this thing, I think it is an application? and then they will contact you to set up a time. I am ready to go home right now, have all of my shots and am neutered and microchipped and can pack my bags quickly if you are ready for me? I almost didn’t make it out of an animal shelter because someone took it over that said all dogs had to die. The nice people at Arrow saved me and two of my friends from the shelter and I am ready to take advantage of my second chance at a family! I am fostered in Central IL and my adoption fee is $275 which goes to my dr to pay for my stuff. I hope you come soon..
